So you have been reading some of my blogs and probably seeing my social media or watching my you tube videos and wondering who the heck is this girl even? But the true question is where do I even start?! LOL Let’s see what I can put in here out of the almost 30 years of me (Yes I’m gonna be 30 this year! AHHH!) without completely boring you to death!
I’ll start with where I am from. I’m originally from Michigan. No not from the mitten. I can’t hold my hand up and show you where my town is. I’m from WAY farther north. The UP, or upper peninsula. I lived there till I turned 20. And then moved out to Connecticut. I was married for 7 years to a guy in the military so I traveled around A LOT. I’ve lived in a few different places Connecticut, Hawaii, back to Connecticut, and now I currently live in Rhode Island.
I am a mom of a beautiful little 4 year old who keeps me on my toes on the daily. She was actually born out in Hawaii. She’s a super girlie girl and the best thing thats ever come into my life. Being a mom literally as they say is the hardest but most rewarding job in the world. Just when you think you know what your doing something else happens and the whole game changes. I basically am a single parent because her dad isn’t around he lives up in Maine so I take on it all which makes things even more of a juggle and challenging. But again I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
I’m also a hairdresser. I’ve been doing hair since 2007. I do a little bit of it all from color, cuts, manicures, pedicures, and formal hair. This was my calling and what I thought I was gonna do with the rest of my life until I started getting into the fitness industry in 2009. It started out with me getting certified and teaching Zumba Fitness. I love to dance and I love people so it was a super fun class for me. My instructor is actually the one that got me into going and getting certified and from there it just kept building. I started taking more classes and getting more into the weight lifting side of things and I became addicted to the changes I started to see in my body. Then some girls from the gym that I was teaching in talked me into doing a body building competiton. I NEVER in my life ever thought that I would do this or have what it takes. But in 2015 I did it! I got up on that stage in my sparkly swimsuit and 5 inch clear heals and I rocked it. I ended up taking home 5th place in novice bikini.
After competing and feeling so good and seeing the amount of people that I inspired and who looked up to me and wanted to know how I did it I knew this was where I really belonged.
I then decided I was gonna become a Personal Trainer.
In 2016 I went through the American Council of Exercise and am now a Certified Personal Trainer and I went on further than that and got my Nutrition Specialist Certification. I wanna help people to get to their goals and to follow their dreams. Today I work as a Personal Trainer, Nutrition Specialist, and Cosmetologist. While also being a single mom and a Body Building Competitor. Life is always busy but I wanna get the message out there to everyone that no matter what your dreams are go for them! Shoot for the stars and don’t let anything hold you back.
I just recently competed again and took 5th place in Bikini Open. I’m now in a little bit of an off season trying to add on more muscle mass and am moving up classes to Figure. I’m looking at competing either this Fall or Spring. Depending on how my off season goes.
I wanna personally thank you for following me along my journey and reading my blogs.
